Lake Travis 2011

In June, we went on a family vacation to Lake Travis in Austin with the Knott side of the family.  Scott and Katie brought their boat and we had a blast exploring Lake Travis, doing some tubing and wake boarding, and relaxing.

G-Pa and Cooper relaxing on the porch

We rented a cabin right on the lake and we were REALLY lucky that the dock was still in the water to be able to come and go from the house.  The lake was 20-30 ft below normal because of the drought!  Instead of the water  in the picture below being just beyond the lower deck pictured, it is much further out.  It was a hike to just get to and from the boat!

Our little chef.

Margie relaxing - she didn't do much of this!  She was hanging in there with us the entire time!

Coop loved this do-rag and wore it everyday - I wonder where he came up with that idea???

Finally convinced Addi to ride the tube with Kevin - and they lasted about 5 seconds and she would NOT get back on!

The fam!

Katie and I had so much fun!

The boat rocked Cooper to sleep - he got drowsy each time we drove for more than a few minutes!

Scott and Dylan - pros on the tube!
Several times during this trip, we agreed that we need to do this every year!  I hope we can make that happen and make more great memories!

More outdoor playtime!

The kids have gotten into gardening, filling the bird feeders, keeping an eye on the cryslis turning into butterflies and all kinds of other things in my parents beautiful backyard.  They always want to bring in veggies from the garden or help with the outside chores.

Below the kids are helping Grandad put out the ladybugs in the yard.  Neither one of them really wanted to hold them...they are both scared of all kind of bugs!

Outdoor playtime!

In March, we were doing all kinds of outdoor activities to enjoy the warmer weather.  We decided that it was time for Addison to work on riding a bike with no training wheels.  She was so excited and that was actually what she decided was her New Year's resolution a few months before.  It was about time to get started on it!

A little off centered at first...

She is concentrating very hard and she improved a lot after the first outing.  Since this time, we have practiced a few more times, but haven't made much progress lately.  We also had to put her training wheels back on for the Trike-a-thon at school...and we haven't taken them off again yet!
Cooper got this new bike for his birthday and he can barely reach the pedals!  But he looks so grown up riding it around!  Where did my babies go???

Later that day, the kids were having a blast playing with one another in the backyard!  We were loving just watching their interactions and I was having so much fun getting some of the action on camera!

Don't let them fool you...they are not always this sweet to one another.  But I LOVE it when they are!

Wild kids!

More Mardi Gras Galveston pics

A group picture while we were waiting for the pet parade to start!

Me and my littlest loves!  Too bad Cooper won't look at the camera!

Nice guy in the parade handing beads to the cute kids!

Miss Chandler loving it!
What a fun weekend!  Besides the crazy rain and cooler than expected temps on Saturday night, we loved the Mardi Gras experience!

Thanks to the Butler's for having us at the beach house!

Late, late, late pics from Cooper's birthday!

I am so excited to be able to post from my own laptop and using my own pictures from the camera and not just my phone!  We finally got WiFi at my parents house and now I can put up some pictures from the last 4-5 months!  Hey, better late than never!

Here are some pictures from Cooper's birthday and his party in February.  Cooper chose to go to Chuck E. Cheese for his birthday dinner!  Big surprise!

Addison is more terrified of Chuck E. than Cooper is, but he was still a little shy!

We had Cooper's birthday party at The Little Gym in Katy.  He loved it and it seems like everyone had a great time.  We have always had good luck with parties there - they do everything for you except the cake and party favors.  Not to mention that it is fun for kids at a variety of ages!

Cooper LOVES Batman so that's what theme we went with this year.

Big sister having fun at the party.

The birthday boy and his mamma!  Love this little guy!

Daddy helping Cooper walk up the wall and do a flip.

Some of the friends at the party dancing and playing along with the music.

Waiting patiently for the Air Track to blow up - so much fun!

Big ole' smile!

Happy birthday again, Cooperman!  We love you as high as the sky and as deep as the ocean!

Mother's day and Mayfest in Dallas

We finally took a roadtrip to Dallas the weekend of Mother's Day.  We always have such a fun time up there and we were all excited to see Kevin's parents and Cameron!

Roadtrip!

Cameron!!!  We have missed you so much, but we know you have been getting the royal treatment in Dallas!

We have been to the Taste of Addison festival a few times in the past, but this year, we went to Mayfest in Ft. Worth.  What a great festival and very kid-friendly!  Tons of activities to do and we all had a great time!

This girl is adventureous!  She is a little dare-devil!

Cooper wanted to do this, but after he bounced a few times, he wasn't as thrilled!

A round of golf with Daddy

Corn on the cob, hot off the grill!  So yummy!

After brunch on Mother's Day

Buckled up for a ride in the convertible - the kids thought this was so cool!

Wooohooo!  :)

She had this huge smile on her face the whole time!

Flying kites at the park

Climbing trees at the park

Took a dip in the cold pool - Cooper had to get warmed up by KK!

Goin' fishin'

Always a fantastic time in Dallas - that city is great!  But especially when you have your own tour guides that have mapped out fun things to do!  Thank you Karen and Gordon...for another fun-filled weekend!

March for Babies 2011

Is it possible that it is the end of May and I haven't created ONE blog post???  It's hard to believe considering we have been doing some pretty amazing things in the last month!  I will create several quick posts just to get things documented!
The first was the March for Babies!  I don't have lots of pictures except those from my phone or ones that were given to me!

But we had another great year - we surpassed our goal and had around 35 people walk with Team Coop!

Thank you, thank you, thank you again for all of the friends and family that has supported this great cause over the last 4 years!  I wish I had the picture of the whole group, but it's still on my camera!
